Sports injuries? Flexibility challenges? Read this.
/"There is an uptick in demand for yoga-based sports performance training, especially for multi-sport kids, due to increasing injuries primarily caused by overuse, " says Dana Santas who is known for her conditioning work with professional teams like the Philadelphia Phillies, Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team, Atlanta Braves and Orlando Magic. And she says the age of athletes that start taking yoga classes keeps getting younger as they realize the benefits it offers.
So that is why I am so excited that our new Yoga for Athletes program at Next Level kicks off this week! One of the only programs like this for athletes in our area. We will work on flexibility, stretching, mobility, focus and breath control. There will be 2 instructors (one leading and one for visual demonstration), great music, and an energizing environment. Geared for athletes across all sports.
